China Mobile International Frankfurt
Following the successful delivery of China Mobile International’s first data centre in the UK, ABEC were engaged to deliver the next European build in Frankfurt.
The data centre boasts 2500m2 of whitespace and a 12MW capacity.
Multiple integration requirements were introduced into the design and ABEC’s Trend and Tridium experience enabled us to meet and exceed this challenge. The Chilled Water Plant design is a fully redundant solution where ABEC’s Projects Team excel.
A number of remedial / recommendations have been carried out during the project both mechanically, electrically and through the BMS software to ensure the building runs efficiently during the 24/7 operation while meeting all functional design criteria.
The work was carried out over a 12 month period. A full-time on-site ABEC project manager was utilised to ensure the programme is managed closely.
The data centre is in total equalling around 2500m2 of whitespace and a 12MW capacity.
James Neill, the Project Manager said:
‘A large building presents various challenges to a project team with various trades working in different areas during different times of the day. A detailed programme, skilled supervision and management are key to a successful project delivery and daily reporting is essential.’
